At OLIVEA we are committed to respecting not only your skin but also the environment. Sustainability is part of our mission and we are constantly working to reduce our environmental footprint. We know that being sustainable is an ongoing journey and that’s why we are constantly challenging ourselves to become more eco-conscious, at all stages of production.
We know that we cannot save the world overnight, but collectively we can strive to minimize our footprint and safeguard the environment for the benefit of future generations.
INGREDIENTS
The criteria for choosing and selecting the Ingredients that we put in our products are quite tight, as they must provide stellar benefits to the skin, but equally, this must not come at a cost to our Planet.
All our products contain more than 90% Naturally Origin Ingredients from Sustainable Agriculture and whenever possible, they contain Certified Organic.
Our Ingredients are extracted from their source using cold-pressed processes instead of heat or chemical solvents, thus achieving purer, higher quality nutrients.
We are passionate about supporting local Producers and Suppliers. As such, we formulate our products with local ingredients whenever possible.
MANUFACTURE
OLIVEA has an Independent Laboratory based in PORTUGAL as a partner to manufacture its products through processes that are as kind to the planet as they are to the skin.
Our trusted production partner is an expert in his field and can safely and efficiently produce all of our products.
All our products are manufactured in small batches, thus, we guarantee products of the highest quality, which do not remain on the shelves for a long time, reducing waste.
100% RECYCLABLE PACKAGING
Plastic Packaging:
Place all plastic components in the Yellow recycling bin.
Glass Packaging:
Place the vial with pipette in the Green recycling bin.
Paper/Cardboard Packaging:
Flatten all the cardboard packages and place them in the Blue recycling bin.
DELIVERIES
All of our shipping materials are 100% recyclable and some of them come from recycled materials.
We only use enough conditioning paper for products to arrive safely and intact at your home.
We try to ship as parcels and not split as deliveries into multiple packages so we use as little carbon as possible.
UPCYCLE OR REUSE
Whenever possible, we reuse our packaging or upcycle it, giving it a new lease of life.
NEXT STEPS
We work hard to do better and we hope in the near future to be able to implement additional measures – a recycling incentive campaign, gradual introduction of packaging that uses post-consumer recycled materials, and use of renewable energy in some processes of the production chain, among other measures.
We are committed to continuing to look for ways to give back to the environment, rather than just withdraw.
